Guiding principles

Nynas is an oil company with a difference, we focus on manufacturing products which deliver lasting value. We promote this as ‘taking oil further’.

The aim of the Policy is to support Nynas vision and deliver a performance we all can be proud of, so that confidence can be earned of customers, employees, shareholders, suppliers, authorities, neighbours and society at large.

To fulfil our objectives within HSSE&Q – and to encourage continuous improvements – a co-ordinated work method is required based on a common working model. This is what is referred to as a management system.

Nynas aims to be regarded as a positive force in society and an attractive employer. This means that we always strive to conduct ourselves in accordance with good business ethics and in an economically, socially and environmentally responsible manner.

For refineries in Sweden (Nynas AB) Nynas also subscribes to Responsible Care (NMS document number 179), the chemical industry's programme for continuous improvements within safety, health, environment and quality – popularly abbreviated SHEQ.

In December 2006, the European Parliament and Council agreed on a new chemical regulation: Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH). The regulation came into force on June 1, 2007 in all Member States of the European Community.
