Spreading knowledge in China

Nynas researcher Mehdi Fathi-Najafi received the Best Paper Award at the 21st Lubricating Grease Industry Technology Seminar of China.

In October 2021, the 21st Lubricating Grease Industry Technology Seminar of China was organised by the China Lubricating Grease Institute (CLGI) in Chengdu City. Attracting more than 340 participants and with 48 technical experts making presentations, it was a significant industry gathering.

Nynas was present in Chengdu through representatives from its China office. In addition, several of the company’s researchers participated digitally due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Mehdi Fathi-Najafi, Nynas Senior Technical Advisor, gave a presentation entitled “Grease Production, CO2 emissions.... a New Relationship!” and Dr Jinxia Li, Nynas Senior Engineer, spoke on the topic of “The Impact of Viscosity of Naphthenic Oils and Extreme-Pressure Additives on Lubricating Greases”.

At the end of the conference, the Best Paper Award was given to Mehdi Fathi-Najafi. This is a strong recognition of the quality of Nynas’ research and development, but also of our work as an international disseminator of knowledge about the applications and advantages of naphthenic oils.
