Anna Refinary Manager

Following her first job as a process engineer, Anna has been taking on different roles at Nynas, including production manager and since 2015 as refinery manager. “The job of refinery manager gives me the opportunity to combine my great interest in technology with leadership and business development,” she explains.  

Perform and contribute

Anna's area of responsibility includes all aspects of the refinery business in Gothenburg. Her mission is to develop competence within the organisation and to make sure that the conditions are the best possible for each and every employee so that everyone can perform and contribute.  

Motivated employees

“It’s no coincidence that I’ve chosen to stay so long at Nynas”, says Anna. “The company’s greatest asset is competent and motivated employees, but there’s also a wonderful team spirit here. I look forward to helping contribute to Nynas’ continued development.”

Rena’s working days include anything from catching up with customers over the phone, traveling around locally or regionally for site visits, making plans for the next events/seminars and problem solving, putting multitasking to a test.

Investing in employees 

Nynas is Rena’s first employer since graduation and the investment in its employees is very attractive, according to Rena. “I value the in-depth induction program, the selection of training courses as well as the opportunity for employees to take on other positions when possible.”

Since joining Nynas in 2008 Line has been based at the Drammen bitumen depot, which serves a huge part of the Norwegian asphalt industry. A typical day for Line involves anything from reporting taxes and speaking with customers to working with marketing material, with her creative and solution-oriented approach to work suiting the variable nature of her job.

Finding ways to optimise

While working on the Nordica Project in 2015, Line helped to update several work routines and processes, improving cooperation with other areas of the Nynas organisation. ‘’Our efficiency and strong team ethic allow us to maintain the high level of service that we provide to our customers,’’ explains Line.
